Objectives:
By the end of the presentation, the attendee will be able to:


  1. Know the definition of diabetes.
  2. Know the causes of low blood sugar.
  3. Know the symptoms and treatment of low blood sugar.
  4. Know the definition of glucagon.
  5. Know the legal requirements for the administration of glucagon.
  6. Know the rights of medication administration.
  7. Know the sequence of events in the administration of glucagon.

    Instructions to Complete a Post-Assessment Certificate Course

    1. Login to http://wi.train.org using login and password.
    2. Select My Learning on the right.
    3. Then click on Current Courses.
    4. Click on the M (Manage) to the right of the title.
    5. Select Completed.
    6. It will then tell you that you need to complete a post-assessment, so click on Assessment.  When done, Close.
    7. If no certificate is offered, you are done.
    8. When a certificate is offered, go to TRAIN’s home page.
    9. Click on My Certificates on the right of the page.
    10. Then click on View All Certificates.
    11. To the right of the title in the Certificates column, click on the appropriate title.
    12. It will come up and you can print it.  It will stay in Certificates permanently.


    You can either print this entire page, or simply return to it later for these instructions.

There is an error in one of the assessment questions. Two of the side effects of Glucagon administration are listed: rapid heart rate and vomiting, but a correct answer is only given for rapid heart rate.

You have questions that are not addressed in the video (Type 1 and/or Type 2 diabetes ... only addresses Type 1). The question about sequence is a trick questions ...Your slides has to call 911, not " and parent". Very upsetting to give trick questions. Presentation does not match quiz.
