Objectives:
By the end of the presentation, the attendee will be able to:

  1. Know the federal and state laws regarding medication administration schools.
  2. Know the documentation that is required prior to administration of oral medications.
  3. Know the principles of confidentiality as it relates to medication administration.
  4. Know the antiseptic and bloodborne pathogen principles for administration of medications.
  5. Know the five rights plus two in the administration of medications.
  6. Know the definition of a medication error.
  7. Know the recommended sequence of events in the administration of oral medications.

     

    Instructions to Complete a Post-Assessment Certificate Course

    1. Login to http://wi.train.org using login and password.
    2. Select My Learning on the right.
    3. Then click on Current Courses.
    4. Click on the M (Manage) to the right of the title.
    5. Select Completed.
    6. It will then tell you that you need to complete a post-assessment, so click on Assessment.  When done, Close.
    7. If no certificate is offered, you are done.
    8. When a certificate is offered, go to TRAIN’s home page.
    9. Click on My Certificates on the right of the page.
    10. Then click on View All Certificates.
    11. To the right of the title in the Certificates column, click on the appropriate title.
    12. It will come up and you can print it.  It will stay in Certificates permanently.
