Objectives:
By the end of the presentation, the attendee will be able to:


  1. Know the required documentation prior to the administration of nebulized medications.
  2. Know the five rights in the administration of medications.
  3. Know the definition of asthma.
  4. Know the symptoms of an asthma attacks.
  5. Know the triggers of asthma attacks.
  6. Know the advantages and disadvantages of the use of nebulizers vs. inhalers.
  7. Know the sequence of events in the administration of a nebulized medication.

     

    Instructions to Complete a Post-Assessment Certificate Course

    1. Login to http://wi.train.org using login and password.
    2. Select My Learning on the right.
    3. Then click on Current Courses.
    4. Click on the M (Manage) to the right of the title.
    5. Select Completed.
    6. It will then tell you that you need to complete a post-assessment, so click on Assessment.  When done, Close.
    7. If no certificate is offered, you are done.
    8. When a certificate is offered, go to TRAIN’s home page.
    9. Click on My Certificates on the right of the page.
    10. Then click on View All Certificates.
    11. To the right of the title in the Certificates column, click on the appropriate title.
    12. It will come up and you can print it.  It will stay in Certificates permanently.
